DRYWALL FINISHING
Apla-Tech Continuous Flow System
Use the Apla-tech machine to run CFS bazooka, boxes, angle pumps, and how to apply a level 5 finish.

Texturing
Learn to use a spray-tex machine to apply all machine textures, including knockdown finish, snow tex, ruff tex, and span tex. Also learn how to hand texture and practice techniques.

Basic Airless Paint Spraying
Airless pump safety, learn to use an airless sprayer to prep ceilings for texturing.

Ames Tools
Training on all Ames taping and finishing tools. Learn the use of and understand the advantages and disadvantages of the Ames taping system.

WALL AND CEILING INSTALLER
Blue print reading level 1
This is a beginners course designed to give students the basic knowledge of a job site architectural drawing.
Jan 21, 2012 or Sept. 29, 2012 (6 hours)
Blueprint reading level 2
Students will receive the required knowledge to properly read an architectural print and should be able to, with confidence lay-out a small project in the field.
Jan. 28, 2012 or Oct. 6, 2012 (6 hours)
Blueprint reading level 3
This course will involve the reading of architectural prints and provide students with the knowledge to interpret mechanical, structural and electrical drawings and spec books to adequately perform the duties of a layout/lead hand. (prerequisite is blueprint reading 2)
Feb 4, 2012 and Feb. 11, 2012 or Oct. 13, 2012 and Oct. 20, 2012 (12 hours)
Steel doorframe Installation
Students will receive instruction on how to install a metal door frame level, plumb, and square in steel framing.

Acoustical Ceiling lay-out/installation
The student will be shown how to properly lay-out a T-bar ceiling with and without a blueprint. The student will also receive hands on training to erect a T-bar ceiling square and level.

Journeyman Upgrade
This will prepare qualified students to challenge the IP examination. Students must be able to prove a minimum 6800 hours in the trade and be able to pass a pre-admission test.
