Welcome to the Finishing Trades Institute of BC, an organization with a fresh name, a fresh mandate, and a fresh approach to providing finishing trades contractors with the most highly motivated and best trained workers in the industry.
As a contractor you deserve to be proud of the work you can accomplish for your clients, who have every right to demand first-rate results. We know those results begin right here at the Institute. It is our mission to provide the apprentices and journeypersons who come through our doors with the best training available, using the latest technology, the most advanced curriculum, the best practices in the industry, and the highest standards of the craft.
As you will see in other parts of this web site the institute has spared no expense to create a teaching and learning environment which is the equal of the very best trades training facilities in BC and in Canada. In less than three years we have invested more than $2.25 million in the building, facilities and equipment to give our apprentices the experiences in this school which they will encounter out on the job site.
We are proud of what we have accomplished, and we are focused on our long-term goal of improving the quality of work in the finishing trades industry to a very high standard.
