Director's Note

Since 1992, the Finishing Trades Institute of BC has been working hard to provide the best apprenticeship training and journeyperson upgrading courses in the finishing trades industry across British Columbia.

With over 26,000 square feet of classroom and shop space, we have grown into a training facility with the latest finishing trades technology, seven dedicated and passionate instructors, and greater opportunities for our apprentices to work with hands-on projects than ever before.

"Our long-term goal continues to be the improvement of the quality of work in the finishing trades industry."
Moving forward, the focus of the FTI and our long-term goal continues to be the improvement of the quality of work in the finishing trades industry.

In order to ensure we meet our goal, we encourage you to help us on our journey as we strive to create a higher training standard.

Let us know your needs as a contractor, so we can deliver the kind of trained journeypersons who produce the quality of work your clients need, want, and have the right to expect.

The FTI BC is here to help ensure the future of trades in this province is bright and includes highly skilled apprentices and journeypersons.

I invite you to take a look through our website. We offer a Video Tour of our facility, photos of apprentices and instructors in action, and a wealth of information regarding our apprenticeship programs and upgrading courses.

While you're at it, check out the news section for the latest stories from the FTI.
